Dawn Kelp knows dogs just love coming to the Coeur d'Alene Pet Resort and Doggie Daycare.

“You can see it when they come storming through the door,” she said. “Then when they go home they're good and tired from a day of socializing with the other dogs. They truly love it here.”

Coeur d'Alene Pet Resort and Doggie Daycare strives to be the best pet provider in the region by treating each dog like a beloved family pet and constantly looking to improve an how they do things.

“We continually work toward doing what's best for the pets by improving the quality of their care as well as the facility,” said owner Dawn Kelp. “We have the best friendly and pet-loving staff who treat each other like family. We treat them as if they were are own.”

The Coeur d'Alene location offers nine luxury themed suites the vaunted, “Fairy Tale Princess Suite” and “African Sa Furry Suite.”

In addition to lodging, Coeur d'Alene Pet Resort and Doggie Daycare offers grooming and training services.

The CDA Pet Resort has more than 17,000 square feet of floor space, which includes an indoor dog park. The heated indoor dog park includes a walking track, agility equipment and a play area. CDA Pet Resort has the only private indoor park in town.

Coeur d'Alene Pet Resort has won numerous “Best of North Idaho” awards over the last seven years.

Kelp and her late husband, Dave, established the business in 2007. Dave passed away in 2012. They have four children and nine grandchildren.  Several children assist in running the business.
