EASTER: Closed? Good!

Print Article

To Ed Elliott, Hayden Papa Murphy’s Pizza: I stopped by on a fundraiser night to purchase a pizza and noticed a sign on your door “Closed on Easter.” I would like to thank you and all the other establishments that closed on Easter to allow staff to enjoy the holiday with family and friends.

When employers like you think about the importance of celebrating holidays with family and friends only means that your staff will be with you a long time and the almighty dollar is important, but so are the people who work for you. I am old enough to remember the days when there was only a drug store and a gas station open on a holiday. If you did not get the items needed prior to the holiday you went without.

Once again, THANK YOU for having a kind heart.
