SHOW: It will go on

Print Article

This letter is in response to Dave Sheldon’s letter regarding Laura Little’s Traditions of Christmas show held at the Kroc Center every year. First, this is a Christmas show.

It is not for Memorial Day nor is it for Veterans Day. Ms. Little has chosen to honor all branches of the military for their service and sacrifices. It is very well done and honors all those who served our country. I am not sure why Mr. Sheldon feels that a Gold Star family is more important than any other family who has had to deal with the loss of a relative or the disability of a veteran. Maybe he should produce his own show where he can honor those that he deems fit.

Let’s not forget the Navy Seals, the Green Berets, Special Ops, the Purple Heart recipients and the many, many other organizations. To select one specific group to honor in a Christmas show when the show actually honors all would be wrong! I feel sorry for Mr. Sheldon in that he feels that he can no longer support a Christmas show because they will not bow to his personal beliefs. I, myself, want to thank Ms. Little for honoring our service men and women!
