A man robbed Merchants and Farmers Bank on Range Line Street at gunpoint on Friday afternoon before running off, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.
As of Friday night, the police were searching for the suspect, police said.
Around 2:10 p.m. Friday, the robber entered the bank with a firearm and demanded cash, police said. The police did not disclose how much money he stole.
No one was reported injured, and no property was damaged, police said.
