STATUE: Women, speak out

Print Article

I am a Catholic, so of course Iím offended by the artistís portrayal of the Mother of God. So I was wondering, why havenít all women been offended? From what Iíve read over the years, women want respect. After all, our Mother Mary is a woman.

So can it be that no one looks at how the artist feels about women in general?

Not everyone is a Catholic. But whatever we do believe, donít you think we deserve respect?

Weíre all Godís children with beauty and dignity. No one wants to be made a Halloween figure.

So Iím respectfully asking the art gallery to please put the statue in back.
