PARADE: A Divaz salute

Print Article

Thank you to the citizens of Coeur d’Alene and all those who came out to the Independence Day Parade. As a member of the Blazen Divaz performing group, this is always a fun-filled parade. Our group has represented Idaho this year at the 75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor and at the 2017 DC Cherry Blossom Parade. We have also done the Osburn, Wallace and Post Falls parades, giving to the local communities where many of our members were born.

We wore buttons of our heroes on the Divaz outfits this year. For some it was their father, mother, uncle, aunt, cousin, brother, sister, husband, or someone who represented a hero to them.

Thanks to those who came and cheered as we danced our way down Sherman in our ’40s style dresses or as a Rosie. We love this parade and the crowds.
