LEGION: Taylor, Smith lift Northern Lakes past Moscow

RATHDRUM Jaret Taylor and Dustin Smith drove in two runs each as the Northern Lakes Mountaineers took advantage of four errors to beat the Moscow Blue Devils 10-1 in the resumption of a Class A North Idaho League baseball game at Gorton Field on Tuesday.

The game was the second game of a doubleheader cut short by rain on June 4. Northern Lakes won the first game; the second was suspended in the bottom of the first inning with Northern Lakes ahead 4-0.

Max Baker struck out six over seven innings for Northern Lakes (6-2, 6-1 NIL), which hosts the Spokane Crew at 3 p.m. and Spokane Cannons at 5:30 on Thursday in the opening round of the Best of the Northwest tournament.
