Coeur d’Alene High football

parent meeting rescheduled

A meeting for parents of players entering grades 9-12 interested in playing football at Coeur d’Alene High this fall has been rescheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m. at Coeur d’Alene High in the team room (main gym), Viking head coach Shawn Amos said.

NIC softball games

rescheduled for today

COEUR d’ALENE — North Idaho College’s softball doubleheader vs. Community Colleges of Spokane was rained out Tuesday and rescheduled for today at 2 p.m. at Memorial Field.

The Cardinals are currently 20-7 overall, and 14-5 in the NWAC East behind Wenatchee Valley (20-6, 18-2 NWAC). The Cardinals are currently on a seven-game win streak after sweeping Big Bend, Blue Mountain, and Treasure Valley this past week. The Community Colleges of Spokane come in with an NWAC East record of 7-13, and 12-14 overall.

The NWAC Crossover softball tournament, originally scheduled this weekend in Portland, has also been changed to allow NWAC teams to make up rescheduled games. NIC and other NWAC East Region teams will compete in a regional crossover tournament in Richland on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Columbia Playfields.
