Trojan boys, girls win Lake City Invite

COEUR d’ALENE — Tanner Byers and Savanna Routh of Post Falls won medalist honors, each anchoring the winning teams at the Lake City Invitational held Monday at Coeur d’Alene Golf Club.

Chase Mitchell shot 73 and Brayden Ogle 75 for Coeur d’Alene, which finished second. Cameron Johnson and Davon Sandford each shot 79 for fourth-place Lake City. Aston Waddington’s 89 led Lakeland, which finished seventh.

The Trojan girls won a playoff over Lake City, which was led by Emily Dodge with a 92.

Matty Morris shot a 95 for Coeur d’Alene, which finished fourth. Kenzie Roth’s 99 paced Lakeland to third place.

Area teams are back in action Wednesday at the Coeur d’Alene Resort Invitational.

win NSL meet

PINEHURST — Blake Baldi shot a 80 to lead the St. Maries boys to the team title at a North Star League match at Pinehurst Golf Club. Robert Sperber shot 101 to lead Lakeside to a fourth-place finish.

On the girls side, Rachel Arthur of Lakeside shot a 93, good for medalist honors, and Aspen Presely shot 104 for St. Maries, which won the team title.
