STRIKE: Support the miners

Steve Gregory and I, of Sunwood’s Cowboy Bar-B-Q, did our good deed for the day by providing lunch for many of the miners working the picket line at the Lucky Friday Mine. Being solid union guys, Steve and I had to show our support for these folks who have worked so hard at the mine to provide for their families. At the last contract the miners negotiated in good faith to obtain a higher wage and a few additional benefits, and now Hecla wants to go backward by cutting as much as they can while they are having huge profits.

As we all know, wages are down, cost of health care is up and the cost of living is through the roof. Now is not the time to step on those who have done their part to make this company a success. It is time to reward those who have worked so hard to make this happen. It all reminds me of the “Trump Dynasty.”
