Gordon F. Givens, 80
Gordon F. Givens, 80, of Hamilton, Mont., passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017. He was born Oct. 21, 1936, in Bremerton, Wash., the son of Lawrence S. and Helen M. (Anslow) Givens.
Gordon was raised in Washington completing his schooling at the University of Washington in Seattle. His career was in banking, starting with Rainier National Bank. He continued in banking with Security National Bank, retiring as Vice Chairman and Chief Credit Officer with Bank of America Seattle.
He married his wife, Sharon T. Smith in Seattle on May 2, 1964. His favorite sport next to fishing was golf. He golfed and lived in the areas of Broadmoor Golf Club in Seattle, Thunderbird C.C. in Rancho Mirage, Calif., and The Quarry in La Quinta, Calif. The couple settled in Hamilton, loving and enjoying this area as well as The Stock Farm Club for all its wonderful events.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife, Shari; sisters Jean Anderson and Sandra Weeks; brother Steve Givens; niece Susan; and nephews Rob, Greg and Bennett.
The family plans to enjoy memories and fun in the late spring. Memorials may be made to the Bitterroot Public Library Foundation, The Bitterroot Humane Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton.
