The sixth-annual Run For 271, a nonprofit event that serves schools in the Coeur d’Alene community, will be held Saturday, June 3, at McEuen Park.

The event includes a 5K run/walk, kids obstacle course race, medals, a huge raffle, lawn games, bounce houses, face painting, yard games, food trucks, a DJ and more.

All of the money raised goes directly to the 10 elementary schools in the Coeur d’Alene School District. The money given to the schools will go toward things like classroom libraries, crisis counseling, art programs, PE programs, Math is Cool and cross country.

Last year, the run raised nearly $18,000 for Coeur d’Alene elementary schools. This year, the goal is to raise $25,000.

For more information and to register, go to www.RunFor271.org. Registration costs between $10 and $30.

For questions, or to obtain a sponsorship agreement, vendor agreement, child sponsorship form or a donation request letter, contact Elaina Matthews at elainamatthews@runfor271.org or (208) 755-7865.
