Marina Town — Paradise on the lake

In the heat of summer, there aren’t many places better than Marina Town on Lake Pend Oreille.

Located directly on the water at the expansive Dover Bay waterfront community, the Marina Town neighborhood is lakeside luxury at the center of the area’s most in-demand summer activities.

The waterfront condominiums come in single level, walk-out and upper level homes with 2-4 bedrooms, 2-4 baths and detached two-car garage options.

Two move-in ready homes include premium features and amenities.

“The two-car garages (for the two available homes) are extra large to accommodate a larger vehicle or a boat,” said Marie Garvey, director of sales and marketing for the Dover Bay community.

The fully landscaped waterfront homes include a one-year full warranty. Homeowners Association fees begin at $380/year and includes full lawn and landscape maintenance, exterior building and neighborhood maintenance and snow removal.

Residents in Marina Town enjoy a beautiful reflection pond as well as more than 500 feet of private beach and lake frontage.

Two finished units are currently available at Marina Town:

Lower Unit No. 201 features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, open kitchen with granite countertops, spacious living room with gas fireplace, generous dining area, large master suite, courtyard and outdoor patio with views of Lake Pend Oreille. Offered at $579,000.

Upper Unit No. 203 is a three bedroom, three bath home equally ideal for quiet times or for entertaining. It features a grand living room area with gas fireplace, spacious dining area, open kitchen and island, a large master suite, granite countertops throughout, a loft area and an outdoor deck with spectacular lake views. Offered at $698,000.

Buyers can also purchase a completely new building in the neighborhood. The home would be an executive condominium with a four-bedroom, four-bathroom layout, including top-of-the-line amenities and the opportunity for buyers to select their own finishes.

Additionally, John Sletager, vice president of Dover Bay Development, said there are financing specials in place this month that will expire Aug. 31. Call (208) 265-1597 for details.

Sletager said this summer season has been a change of pace compared to the heat of the past two years. Regardless of temperature, activity and interest has remained strong.

“We’ve been spoiled the last couple years with the heat, but this is more normal,” Sletager said. “We’ve had some nice days, and the lake has warmed up.”

Marina Town, as the name suggests, is extremely close to Dover Bay’s Marina Village. The village includes a 274-slip marina, popular full-service restaurant The Dish (open for lunch and dinner, seven-days-a-week throughout the summer), market, tennis and volleyball courts and a fitness center featuring an outdoor, year-round heated swimming pool and spa.

Slip rentals at the marina are open to the public and are available on both a short-term (overnight and up) and long-term (rest-of-season) basis.

Kayaks, canoes, jet skis and other watercraft rentals are available throughout the summer, as are bungalow and vacation home rentals for those looking for a quick vacation or for those wanting to explore the amenities and variety of neighborhoods at Dover Bay.

In total, the Dover Bay Waterfront Community covers 285 acres of forest, lakes and open meadows. The Dover city beach measures 2.6 acres with 3,000 feet of waterfront on two sides.

Walking bridges and wildlife viewing areas meander through the community and connect to broader nature preserves in the area. The community is three miles from downtown Sandpoint and 12 miles from Schweitzer Mountain Resort.

Marina Town is just one of 11 neighborhoods and developments in the Dover Bay community, all with different price points and styles offered.
