ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR Kootenai Tribe of Idaho P. O. Box 1269, Bonners Ferry, ID SALARY: Depending on qualifications CLOSE: May 4, 2018 or until filled This position is located at the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho's Tribal Headquarters near Bonners Ferry, Idaho. The Administrative Director is a professional full-time position. Under the direction of the Tribal Council, the Administrative Director is responsible for Community Outreach & Coordination/ Kootenai Valley Resource Initiative, administering the Tribal Transportation and HUD Housing Programs, and coordination with other Department Directors. This individual serves the Tribal Council as a liaison between the Tribe and the city, county, state and federal agencies, and the general public. This person coordinates Government-to-Government and other meetings with federal, state and local agencies, disseminates correspondence and other information between outside agencies/entities and Tribal Departments and Tribal Council. Prepares briefing documents and recommendations for Council consideration. Works with Tribal Council to develop both long term and annual planning documents that identify transportation needs and program activities, manage low income Tribal housing A degree in Public Administration, Business or related field & 5-10 years experience is preferred.
